Fast like a feminist

What does that even mean?! Well did you know that most of the historical research that examined the effectiveness of fasting focused solely on men?  And the type of fasts they researched tended to be water-only, cell death autophagy fasts.

I’m here to tell you that we don’t need to fast like men and we shouldn’t have to.

Instead – let’s fast like a feminist

At The Holland Clinic, we promote supported intermittent fasting for perimenopausal and menopausal women.

Our supported fasting method tricks your body into thinking you’re fasting when you’re not. It is a “fasting-mimicking” diet that gets you all the benefits of fasting without the chaos and without the energy crisis.

It avoids the stress of a fast. Your body thinks it’s having breakfast, but you’re still in a fasted state.

Heaven? Yes.

This process helps keep your cortisol levels stable and it doesn’t get you into a fight or flight stress response. It gives you all of the benefits of fasting without the starvation and without signaling to the adrenals that you are in a crisis.

Now, Gerontologist Ming Wei and his colleagues at the University of Southern California found that the fasting-mimicking diet was highly effective for long list of reasons, including:

  • Improves mental clarity and concentration
  • Induces weight and body fat loss
  • Lowers blood sugar levels
  • Improves insulin sensitivity
  • Increases energy
  • Improves fat-burning
  • Lowers blood cholesterol
  • Prevents Alzheimer’s disease
  • Reverses the aging process
  • Decreases inflammation

The fasting method I teach inside my premium transformation program is safe, effective, natural and evidence-based. It supports your HPA axis, which means it supports your adrenals, your gut, your hormones, your brain and your energy levels.

And inside the program I share different ways to get the most out of your fast and also how to gracefully break your fast when it comes to eating again.

Our intermittent fasting is supported using keto beverages and food protocols. The brain-boosting keto beverages address and solve the energy crisis and they are delish. Try them today.

Our supported intermittent fasting regime is not going to leave you feeling miserable, flat, hangry, or what I have termed, “hypogly-bitchy”. Your brain loves fat as fuel and our program will allow you to wake up and feel supported to do the things you really want to do.

What a great hack. Give it a go today. Your brain and your biochemistry will love you for it and you will lose weight as a side effect.

And let us know how you go. Tell us about the benefits that YOU are noticing. I invite you to share these with our group.  My aim is to create a community of women who can transform from this rollercoaster of perimenopause into a beautiful, calm, peaceful, vital magic menopause.

Let’s get through this journey together.
